Hike information
The hike will start at the Meadows Compass at 6am, Saturday. Come a bit earlier! If this is too early for you, feel free to meet us later along the route and join for whatever part of the hike you would like to walk. The reason we are starting so early is to make the most of the sunlight along the coast :)
We will start by hiking the seven peaks of Edinburgh beginning with Castle Rock, Calton Hill, Corstorphine Hill, Craiglockhart Hill, the Braids, Blackford Hill and ending with Arthur's Seat.
Following our descent from Arthur's Seat, we will start our coastal walk to Dunbar. Along the way, we will pass through Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Cockenzie, Aberlady, North Berwick, finally reaching John Muir's birthplace of Dunbar.
The full 108 km hike is planned to finish before 8:00 the next day (15th of February) at the Dunbar High Street. Totalling 26 hours. Please do allow for delays to occur, as the weather can be unpredictable.
