Building on my experience of the year before I wanted to see if the lesson I had learned had changed something about my character at its core. Could I do to it without it starting as a Joke? Could I Do it without the help of conversation? Could I do it without escaping to daydreaming? Could I do it without friends?

In other words, I distanced myself from all the crutches. The crutches that where necessary to succeed in the 104. I wanted to know if they where optional now. Were they a luxury or were they a necessity.

This time, I took it seriously, filmed myself beforehand and told people about going.

I also made it clear I wanted to do it mostly alone. I stopped myself from daydreaming by learning French.

And I did it alone - well mostly shoutout to Konstantin and kit.

This time I was more resilient. I was more put together. This time, I made it in time.

I realised that there were certain affinities between walking and with philosophy.

Philosophy is thinking in slow motion, much like how slow I was walking towards the end.

My will certainly seems a lot stronger and better developed than it was for the 104km.

But I still have a long way to go, before I can claim the following.

“If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so, hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’”

That is the gaol and that will have to come in the 106km

See you there!!

Preparations have already begun ;)
